X Ray spectroscopy and timing Instrument (XSPECT) on XPoSat

XSPECT is a soft X-ray spectrometer and a timing Instrument on India's XPoSat launched on 1 Jan 2024. In this talk the instrument configuration will be detailed which enables long term observation of some of the bright sources and possibility of better background estimation.
